Sideways is a poingnant...
shit ass movie!!!!
Serisously, I just wasted about 2 hours of my life watching a depressingly AWFUL movie.
e$ I did not heed your warnings. If I did, I would have been a better person for it.
This movie just leads me to believe that wine aficionados are lame ass whiny human beings. Their world revolves around grapes. I am all for a good glass of wine mind you, but after that first glass you could give me Boone's $2.00 special and I would be just as happy!
Wow... I have never felt so physically drained from watching a movie.

WTF
ok, so I am surfing the tele. Now, mind you I really don't watch TV that often. I flipped to the MTV Hits channel, you know, the channel you find the videos on. I thought boy bands were essentially dead, so what the fuck is Incomplete by the Back Street Boys??? I though they were all washed up losers? Oh wait, they still are!
Also on the same note, there is no such thing as a rocker chick anymore. They are dead, you hear me Avril, Ashley and Kelley? Dead... D E A D just like ya'll careers should be.

two in one deal
Yesterday's Post (that I never got to make):
Have you ever come into work and realized, you don't really want to be there simply because you are not prepared to deal with the social dynamics? I just realized now, I don't feel like dealing with this today. I don't mind actually working today, I just don't want to deal with all to social bullshit crap that accompanies it. It would be really nice to work with friends because then you can be yourself and feel comfortable and still get your work done. I really hate all the fake "how was your weekend?" and hearing the fake "oh, it was ok. We went to Wal Mart and bought flowers and an air conditioner." and there you have the end of a conversation where neither party truly cared to know how your weekend was to begin with.
Today's Post:
Have you ever just had the perfect conversation in your mind? I do all the time. When I have nothing else better to think about, I day dream about having a perfect conversation with someone. If only all my real conversations could be as perfect. Then, all that day dreamin' usually leads to thinking about people and what in god's name I would have in common with them. There are people out there that I like to chill with, but you know what, I think I could easily sit there and not be able to start a conversation with them. I find it very difficult to start them, as long as someone else gets the ball rolling I am fine. I always feel like whatever I have to say, the other party will have zero interest in and I will bore the hell out of them. As a result, I will sit there in sometimes awkward silence.

Unfinished Work
Ok, so I have this grand idea that I will finally learn to do my own web page from sorta-scratch. Since I used blogger I figured I would look up a tutorial on how to do it myself. Well I found this tutorial and since I found it instatly understandable I started from scratch mimicking what he was doing throught. Then, just when it is time to hit the section I find most confusing, BAM there is no more. This person never finished this damn tutorial! Now I am stuck wading in this muddy water of HTML and CSS. I am searching for the next motor boat to come by and pick my up where that jackass left me!
However I think that I may have found a nice little tutorial site for a wide variety of things. It is Good-Tutorials.com, there seems to be a lot dealing with photoshop and the web.

The Good Life
Scott, he is gonna get a job. A good job! A job that pays like $100,000 annual salary. I will run a business out of my home office on the third floor of our newly renovated victorian house. I will have luncheon dates in my formal dining room with my dearest friends that happen to be living out of our carriage house turned oversized in-law townhouse. I will walk my dogs with some of my dearest friends at 1 p.m. every day. We will take this opportunity to discuss the newest trends in fashion and television along with criticising everyone we see as we walk down the street. I will conclude my home work day at 4pm so that I may prepare a superb dinner for my hard working Scotty. Then, we will entertain guests for cocktails. Every Thursday I will clean the house so that is prepared and ready for the weekend and what it may have in store. I will hold the lottery to determine who will have the honor of residing in our oversized in-law townhouse... soon.
Wow... having a day off proves hazardous to one's mental clarity.

What is so great about Chicago anyway?
So here is the harrowing tale of my trip to and from San Diego.
Chapter 1
The Flight Out
It is a beautiful, warm Sunday morning and I am off to the airport to catch my 11:30 flight to San Diego, CA. Everything starts off great, get through security, get on my plane and I am off enjoying my ice coffee and dreaming about returning home! We arrive in Chicago for our layover and then we are off again, or so I thought. We board our plane for the second leg, taxi out to the runway and wait. We wait... wait... and wait some more. Then our dear pilot announces that the delay is due to a plane on the runway that ran out of fuel. So, the pilot cuts our engine to conserve fuel. Wait even more this time, sweltering because the air conditioner only comes on when the engines are running and Chicago is upwards of 90 degrees. So, since there is nothing better to do, I take a nap. After a while I wake up and realize that I am insanely thirsty very sweaty and sticky. Then, we hear our the stewardess on the loudspeaker announce, "We have good news and bad news folks. The good news is we are cleared for take off. The bad news is that one of our engines won't start back up.". We taxi back to the gate and sit in the plane for good half hour more before they let us deplane. Finally we get back into the terminal, and we wait for them to fix the engine. One hour passes, two hour passes, finally they have it fixed, but now the air conditioner isn't working and the plane is well over 100 degrees. Another hour passes, and then another and yet another. Finally they tell us we have a new plane. We board and are off on our 4 hour flight to San Diego FINALLY. After everything is said and done, I am finally snuggling down into bed at midnight pacific time or 3 am eastern if you prefer. Oh, I also failed to mention that I had my first scorching sunburn of the season on my shoulders and was in a great deal of discomfort throughout the day.
Chapter Two
The Journey Home
Ahhh, after a long hard week of work and trying to catch up on that much needed sleep, it was time to go home. I found my way to the hotel lobby at the brisk hour of 3:30 am excited about my journey home. Optimistic that the same ordeal couldn't possibly happen twice in one trip. We arrive 45 minutes before the airport even opens, itching to be the one of the first to confirm and bored the flight. Our almost about three quarters of the way into the flight the pilot starts with "well folks we have some bad news, we don't have the required 45 min. of fuel required to enter O'Hare. We will make a pit stop in Des Moines to refuel, that should take us about a 1/2 hour.". Our connection flight was at 1:20 p.m., we rolled up to the gate at 1:40 p.m.. As a result of our missed connection I was automatically re-booked on an 8:45 our to Chicago. I made a mad dash to the United customer service counter and finagled myself on to a 5:25 American Airlines flight to Providence. About an hour before the flight we were informed that it was delayed until 6 pm. At this point, what was a half hour more!?! Finally, we are on the plane! We taxi out only to discover we are 20th in line for take off. After 5 or so planes take off we are then informed that the "eastern flow" has been shut down temporarily, like 40 min. temporarily. After re-opening the "eastern flow" we then wait those 15 planes to take off, however they are also letting planes land on our runway as well. So it alternates 1 plane takes off 1 plane lands etc... Finally it is 10:30 pm and we are HOME. Everyone heads on down to the baggage claim. We again, wait... everyone else's bag except mine and a few others has arrived. Now, it is the ordeal of going to the offices to notify them and arrange for a delivery of the luggage. I exit this airport at like 11:20 and FINALLY, I AM ON MY WAY HOME!

Sweet Free Internet Access
I love free internet access!
I am watching some odd trainwreck of show on Bravo called Blown Out. Apparently it is about a really sheik salon in Beverly Hills and this guy who runs it. Weird...

words are very unnecessary
I have accomplished my goal... This morning, I got in my car and removed my newest System of a Down CD, after 2 weeks straight. I decided that if I didn't do it now, I would end up hating the CD due to overplaying. For the record, no I do not consider just over 2 weeks straight of playing as "overplayed", but that time was coming soon! So I replaced it... with another System of a Down CD. I know I know, it seems to have defeated the purpose in a way. I tried, really I did! I threw in Fisherspooner, NIN, Cake... nothing! I was looking for something with a little more umph to it. By umph I mean lots of drums n' guitars. I don't have too many CDs that satisfy that urge. I should really find some more.
It's Friday and I am ready for my short, short weekend. I have zero time to myself, unless of course you consider a Sunday spent traveling, time to yourself. I depart from TF Green at 11:30 am eastern and end up in San Diego at 5 pm pacifc. That is a whopping 8 1/2 hours of travel. I must provide myself with entertainment! There are so many things to be done before Sunday and I have to attend the Newport Chowda Fest on Saturday. There goes my Saturday day, and if I am to drink myself silly (not drink myself drunk, just silly) on Saturday night then I must accomplish all tasks tonight!
1.) Gather personal affects for trip
2.) Arrange my entertainment for trip (which involves trying to procure a copy of the book Battle Royal, without purchase if possible)
3.) Make sure electronics are charged and prepared (i.e. installing new stuff on Mac)
4.) Pack MOST of my stuff and save aside what is needed for Sunday
5.) Clean up some messes
6.) Dwell and sulk about short weekend!
Oh, and DAMN YOU DEPECHE MODE I have this damn song stuck in my head:
Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Into my little world
Painful to me
Pierce right through me
Can't you understand
Oh my little girl
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm
Vows are spoken
To be broken
Feelings are intense
Words are trivial
Pleasures remain
So does the pain
Words are meaningless
And forgettable
All I ever wanted
All I ever needed
Is here in my arms
Words are very unnecessary
They can only do harm
Enjoy the silence

Gotcha Bitch!
Today's commuter thoughts were triggered by a txt message from Tressa... and it has to do with babies! Eek!
I had general thoughts of babies and how I would probably be the first to have them in our circle of friends. I mean seriously, it seems highly probable at this point. Granted I want nothing to do with them right now, but I know there will come a time. I thought about what would change, and how people would react. I thought about my capability as a mother which I have NO DOUBT I could handle. For some reason I feel as though I have way too much "motherly instinct" at the age of 25. Here I am unmarried with no children giving sound baby advice to a first time mother. She actually uses my advice, to me it just comes as common sense... duh. I guess this is not the case with alot of women though. In the end, I hope Scott and I don't turn into the A-typical parents. I hope we stay the odd little creatures that we are today.
I have a natural desire to "mother" people and I do a pretty good job at hiding it. You know, for that matter, I do a pretty good job at hiding alot of my natural tendencies... For instance, randomly hugging for no reason. I don't do this with a lot of people even though I want to. There is nothing weird behind it. I just like showing affection and for some god forsaken reason I have restrained myself from such things. I think affection towards people is good, it lets them know without words that you care for them. It makes you feel good and hopefully the person receiving the affection as well. There is such a wide variety of ways to show it. Physical contact in general is a great sign of affection, simply because in all practical matters there is no reason to touch another human being. If you are in a conversation or what not there is no place for touching. However if you just grab someone's arm or some kind of similar general gesture it shows a little more personable kindness and caring toward that person.

I Could Eat Cream Cheese by the Spoonful!
Well it is confirmed, I will be going on a trip to San Diego next week. This trip should complete my requirements for my bonus! That's the good news! The bad news... I am leaving on Sunday. Talk about a short weekend! I have the Chowda Fest on Saturday and I am leaving on Sunday. I think I will try to borrow the Battle Royale book for my reading entertainment on this trip. If not, then I will try to obtain something, because on those flights I get so f*cking antsy it's not funny!
My Dream:
Last night I dreamt that the crew was hangin' out in Andrew and Sabrina's new RV. It was super large and it was very self sufficient, in other words, it didn't have to be "hooked up" anywhere. We were all just chillin' and they decided they were tired and wanted to go home. So they dropped us off at someone's house and then decided to park themselves at the old ski area for the night. Odd yet not that outrageous...
Commuter's Thoughts:
-Thought about how funny it was that certain people are on my wedding guest list that I never thought would be. It's funny because Rob and Dave are on the guest list and I have known them for almost 10 years. At the time when I first started dating Deqlan I only knew them as Owen's friends and never in a million years thought they would end up hangin' with us like they do. It's funny how things (and people)evolve. It still amazes me that our circle of friends are so close and intertwined like that. I hope they stick around for another 10 years at this point. I'd like to think that they would. Especially now that we are all generally older and all those youthful turning points are mostly behind us. I realize Scott and I are the first ones in the group to make that next jump and I really hope that doesn't make any weird changes (I don't foresee that though).
-Thought about mistakes criminals make to get caught. Such as...
1.) Don't buy all your incriminating evidence at once
2.) Remove the license plates
3.) Cover you damn VIN numbers
4.) Use a lint brush!
5.) Use normal every day shit. Don't go out of your way to get "special items"
6.) Wear gloves, normal every day gloves you can buy at Wal Mart
7.) Dispose of items far away
8.) Don't keep the receipt for those incriminating items... shred them!
9.) Remove all distinguishing markings from your car... but don't forget to put them back!
10.) Buy anything you use from a chain store, they remember you at local ones!
11.) Be aware of cameras but don't look suspicious
-Noted that I will probably need hearing aids by the time I am 50. I realize I play my music WAY WAY too loud. I also sing and move like a complete idiot in the car. I LOVE loud music though!
