Jet Setting
Ahhh... Paris, London, North Carolina... Newport Beach when will the traveling stop!?! Ok so maybe I have never seen Paris or London, one can dream can't they? I was in North Carolina last week and will be in Newport Beach next week. At least I didn't get sucked up in a hurricane so hopefully the ground won't swollow me up. Other than that thing are sleepy and quiet, for the most part. I am aiming to finnish the mo-fo up soon... as long as I can get free internet access while traveling. It's a rare occurance, but surley something I wouldn't wanna miss out on. Time to go do some market shopping.. Yee Haw baby!

clothing requirements
Ahhh... the nice brisk mornings, slightly turned leaves and cool breezes. Fall is quickly approaching, well it is kinda already here. And with this, I realize that I need my fall clothing, there is only one snag with this. I was just about 25 pounds heavier last fall and that means that most of my fall clothing will be too big. I can probably get away with most of it, however there will need to be some new additions to my fall/winter wardrobe.
1.) Sexy pair of boots either black or some kind of chestnut brown - yes I realize that this has nothing to do with weight loss.
2.) Work pants - heaven knows most work pants don't have belt loops rendering them unsalvageable.
3.) Some shirts in any other color than black - for some reason my whole wardrobe is black, and there is nothing worse than wearing black on black at work.
4.) A blazer - no not like mommy or daddy wears, I want a bangin' sexy one.

re-designing whore
yes folks, already I have grown tired of the current layout and desire to improve my site! This is just one step on the road to re-design. I need to create something for myself that I can easily alter myself so that I won't have to rely on outside help. There will be changes as time progresses so keep your eyes peeled.

THE WAY LIFE SHOULD BE?
This post was written "on location" from the special happy van while traveling back from Main.
The scenery is beautiful, the houses dilapidated yet beautiful... the people however are slightly off kilter up here. I say this in only the most positive of light of course. There is something about the northern New England that really attracts me. I enjoy that old lackadaisical atmosphere. The long and lazy afternoons where you just sit outside with a small group of friends and discuss everything under the sun. It seems like there is more meaning to life up here. Things seem so trivial up here, you don't need designer clothing or 10 different varieties of catsup. These are the same reasons why I like to go on those little mini vacations to the White Mountains. Maybe someday I will move up here.
I am most certainly convinced now that someday, when it is time to get a house, I will build one. I love the old Antique/Victorian houses but they are just so costly and time consuming to renovate. I say why not just build a house with old house plans? Nobody seems to have done this that I can tell anyway (maybe that is the secret).

IT'S THE OUTDOORSY LIFE FOR ME
I promise you all that by the end of this weekend, I will have new pictures for the picture of the day! I am determined to get that one finished. Maybe even do some more design work on this page and add a picture gallery or something to that affect. I may even get around to purchasing a t-shirt from this online store.
This weekend will turn out to be a pleasant outdoorsy kind of weekend. I get to hop in a van at the crack of dawn tomorrow and ride some good amount of hours away from my humble abode. Our destination you ask… the good ol' back woods of Main. There we will cook corn on an open fire pit, hike through the woods, get a nice infestation of fleas and ticks, set of some small little rockets and then depart on the long trek home. Yee-haw baby!

SLOW, BUT THOUGHT PROVOKING
Last night I had the pleasure of viewing Boys from Brasil. I still have mixed feelings on this film. I some what enjoyed it, but it was entirely too slow. I enjoy the films where you can get engrossed in the characters, like Amelie. This was far from that let me tell you. It was thought provoking simply on subject matter alone, there was nothing else to the film that caught my eye except the overall subject matter... cloning. My biggest question however, was the subject of cloning such a hot button issue when the film was made? I realize that it has been in this day and age, but back in the seventies I am not sure that it was. I left the film feeling the need to discuss the fact that they could have never cloned another exact replica of Hitler. There were too many controls to take care of, it would have been impossible.

DINING DECOR
I have a novel idea for decorating my dining room! Ok, so it may not be THAT novel but I kind of like it. Since my walls are shaker beige (Benjamin Moore). I though about what colors would work well with this. I want to put something on my walls, however, I intend of changing my curtains because I hate them. So the dilemma is do I buy the curtains and match appropriate wall hangings, or get wall hangings and match the appropriate curtains. In the end, I think that I have decided that I will try to find some kind of old fashioned looking curtain or maybe something black-ish for a window dressing. On the walls I would like to hang old pictures. I think it would be quite fun to scour for old vintage black and white photos to frame and hang on my walls, or for that matter any kind of black and white photo or print. I thought of doing some kind of red asian theme in the dining room, but since the living room is beige and maroon and all those darker hues I thought it to be a little too close in color scheme. I kind of thought about the whole beige Paris café theme but I am not a huge fan of the Eiffel Tower. So these are still kind of the same colors. I will have to look into this a little more.

LOVE, BETRAYAL AND APPLE DESSERT
Ahh... this nice refreshing long weekend has been quite splendid. I got to see people, hit the big apple and go into Boston. I got to visit the MFA and see a wonderful exhibit on Art Nuveou. I got my Chat Noir poster and was dissapointed in not finding awsome window dressings. This was my weekend in a nut shell.

BOXY KITTEN
Why is that cats love boxes? What is it about a box of any shape or size that attracts a cat, especially mine? Nico has the undying need to hop into any box of any size, even if he cannot fit technically

HAPPY LITTLE INTROVERT
Finally, I have time to discuss some stuff that I have been meaning to post about. First and foremost, I saw 2 excellent movies on Sunday, only to spoil it by watch one really odd one on Monday. Sunday I went to see Hero. I really liked this film, especially their use of color. However, I didn't enjoy this movie half as much as Amelie. I saw this film for the first time on Sunday. I liked it so much that I feel the need to view again. Amelie was an easy character for me to identify with, right down to those simple pleasures. In the end though I ended my film viewing euphoria with watching Suicide Club on Monday. Eh… it was one of those movies that was exactly that, a movie not a film. I was left feeling very disturbed, kinda like after watching Party Monster and Requiem for A Dream. I just couldn't go to bed I felt… wrong. First of all this movie ended at a point in which I was not ready for it to end. I was waiting for more, I most likely missed something in this movie. Then again it is Japanese, they have weird concepts and things just don’t have to make sense (I don’t mean that in a bad way of course).
